DAILY PRAYER NUGGETS ( Monday 16th January, 2023)
Acts 17:24-25
The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.
The earth was void and the Lord said let there be light and there was light. We welcome the light of your creation O Lord that shines in our souls making us aware of your greatness and power. We worship you our eternal God and Creator of all things, visible and invisible. Nothing was created that was not created by you, how excellent are your ways O Lord. All living and non-living things come from you. Our breath and life are sourced from your throne of grace, your mercies are from everlasting to everlasting. Praise the Lord. Alleluya!!!
Judges 2:8,10-11
Joshua, son of Nun, the servant of the Lord, died at the age of a hundred and ten. After that whole generation had been gathered to their ancestors, another generation grew up who knew neither the Lord nor what he had done for Israel. Then the Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord and served the Baals.
For this God, Jehovah Elohim, will be our God for ever and ever. All earthly distractions that seek to take our focus away from the God of Abraham be uprooted from our lives. Idols of materialism and humanism, be destroyed. The Lord of all Lords shall be honoured and worshipped on every altar I and my generations shall set up in Jesus name. Only the Lord of all creation deserve our sacrifice and praise. We pledge O Lord that we will serve you the living God and that our children and their generations will serve you for ever and ever. Amen.
God bless you and thanks for praying.
