DAILY PRAYER NUGGETS (Friday, 21st April 2023)
Psalm 107:1-3
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story—those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south.
With hearts filled with gratitude, we come to you today to thank you, our Lord, for the very life you gave us. If we were to pay for the air we breathe, many would have not survived a few days. Here, we are sustained by free air from you. Thank you, O gracious God, for the gift of the fruit of the womb. Children are gifts from you, and for them, we are deeply grateful. From generation to generation ,your loving kindness will be remembered, and your praises resound for your marvellous work towards mankind. You created the animals in the field and plants of the earth for food. They are life-giving and source of refreshment to our bodies. Your wisdom, O Lord, is unimaginable and greater than man can imagine. Receive praise for your love and compassion unto those who believe. Alleluya!!
1 Peter 5:8-9
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of suffering.
I receive grace for daily battles against Satan’s ploys and manipulations. Power to stand firm in recognition that my trials and temptations are from the enemy of my soul, I receive in Jesus’ name. The battles of everyday are the Lord’s, and so I am confident that it will turn out in the end for my good. Arise O Lord and let your enemies be dislodged. They will be put to shame, but the Lord and His saints will be celebrants of victory. No matter how loud the enemy’s roar is, I will sing the victor’s song when the battle is over. Thank you, gracious God, for being my Jehovah Shammah every day. Praise the Lord!!!
God bless you, and thanks for praying.
